Who says we can only practice our patriotism on the Fourth of July? CLUTCH is here with some red, white, and blue recipes!

Asked to bring an appetizer or hors d'oeuvre to a summer party? Spice up the traditional chips and dips with this Chicken Enchilada Dip!

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning
  • Tortilla chips

All you have to do is mix the first eight ingredients together and microwave uncovered for about 5 minutes, stir, and then another 8 minutes and you’re ready to serve!

If you aren’t told to bring anything specific, dessert is always a fast, yummy, guaranteed hit at any party! Try this simple and patriotic cake recipe!

Take any boxed cake mix and ice it with white vanilla icing.  Decorate the top left corner with rows of blueberries to look like the top corner of the American flag.  Take strawberries or raspberries and make line them along the cake to complete the American Flag cake!
